Abstract:
The present invention provides a primary battery which has an improved volumetric capacitance density. This primary battery (1) comprises: a cathode (13) that includes a cathode current collector (13b) which comprises a porous conductor, and a porous cathode layer (13a) which is formed on the cathode current collector (13b) and which diffuses oxygen taken in from outside via the cathode current collector; an anode (12) that includes an anode current collector (12b) which comprises a porous conductor, and a porous anode layer (12a) which is formed on the anode current collector (12b), includes a lithium nitride composed of lithium and nitrogen, and diffuses nitrogen generated during the discharge of electricity; and a nonaqueous electrolyte (14) which is provided between the cathode (13) and the anode (12) and includes lithium salt.
