Abstract:
The present invention relates to a primer set for identifying bacterial species in a probiotics composition and a method for identifying bacterial species using same. Particularly, by constructing a set of primers targeting an intergenic transcribed spacer (ITS) region between 16S rRNA and 23S rRNA of a probiotic species and a pathogenic bacterial species, and performing metagenomic analysis of the probiotics composition by using same, it was confirmed that 21 species of probiotics and 4 species of pathogenic bacteria can be identified with high resolution and accuracy, and thus, the primer set can be effectively used to identify species in a probiotic composition.
