Abstract:
The present invention relates to: an electrode wire for electric discharge machining, having a coating layer formed on a core wire; and a manufacturing method therefor. The electrode wire for electric discharge machining comprises a core wire and a coating layer fixed so as to have a pattern on all or a part of the surface of the core wire, wherein the coating layer can be formed by performing a printing process using molten or powdered metal. The present invention includes the alleviation of a peeling or cracking problem of the coating layer and the provision of an electrode wire that is beneficial to the implementation of high processing speed and processing quality, thereby enabling all limiting factors in a process and a product, which are involved in the conventional plating process, to be effectively alleviated.
