Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a printed matter inspection device with which it is possible to improve the accuracy of detecting waste paper without causing a workload to increase. [Solution] The present invention has: a simulation unit that, by a neural network of learned models that were previously learned so as to reproduce a change in an image due to the formation of an image on a recording medium and reading of the formed image, simulates an image of RIP data after the change as an estimated output image from an input image of RIP data; a comparison unit for comparing the estimated output image and an output image obtained due to reading of the image formed on the recording medium on the basis of the input image; and a specification unit for specifying waste paper on the basis of the comparison result.
