Abstract:

A small-size, simple-construction and jamming-free printer capable of readily carrying out the replacement of roll paper and the elimination of jamming paper, comprising a roll paper holder (2) provided with a first retainer portion (2b) used to print on roll paper (1), and a second retainer portion (2a) used to set the roll paper (1), wherein the roll paper (1) is transferred from the second retainer portion (2a) to the first retainer portion (2b) in accordance with an operation for transferring a printer body from a roll paper setting position to a printing position. When the replacement of the roll paper (1) and the elimination of jamming paper are carried out, the roll paper (1) can be temporarily put on the second retainer portion (2a), so that it is possible to secure a sufficient working space, facilitate setting of the roll paper (1), and eliminate jamming paper.
