Abstract:
Two components (4, 2) are arranged at the upstream side and the downstream side
of a paper path formed near a paper discharge opening (3) of a printer. A portion
of a paper guide member (5) formed by bending an elongated sheet at two to three
positions is inserted between the gap of a portion at which the two components
are joined, and the remaining portion of the paper guide member is left in the paper
path. That part of the paper guide member (5) which is left in the paper path is held
projecting toward the paper path from the component (5) placed on the downstream
side of the paper path, and this causes paper discharged to be moved toward the
paper discharge opening (3) while being guided by the paper guide member (5).
