Abstract:
In a device for recording an image while pulling back a recording sheet, a component
of the device touches the slack portion of the recording sheet produced by pulling
back thus causing a damage to the surface of the recording sheet. Such a device
as having a brake means provided for a dancer roller and a recording sheet roll
has a complicated mechanism and causes a variation in load in carrying the recording
sheet to degrade a recording quality. A sheet feed roller pair for feeding the
recording sheet to a carry roller pair is arranged between the carry roller pair
for feeding or pulling back the held recording sheet fed out from a recording sheet
roll and the recording sheet roll. A color recording section for forming a color
image on the recording sheet while pulling back the recording sheet is arranged
on the downstream side in the sheet feeding direction of the carry roller pair.
A guide member for guiding the recording sheet in an almost arcuate shape so as
to provide an included angle narrower than 90° is arranged between the sheet
feed roller pair and the carry roller pair, and a retreat space for containing
the slack of the recording sheet is arranged on the outside of the guide member
wherein the guide member is pivotally supported to select by rotating opening
or closing of the retreat space.
