Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a printer with which a paper jam can be cleared easily when the paper jam is caused, and that has excellent maintainability. A printer 100 is provided with: a printing mechanism that prints an image on a recording paper 7; a conveyance guide 40 that defines a conveyance path for the recording paper including a path connected to the printing mechanism; and conveyance rollers 31a and 15a that convey the recording paper 7. The conveyance guide 40 is provided with first and second members 41 and 42 arranged to face each other at the two side ends of the recording paper 7. The first member 41 has first grooves 411 and 412 on a surface thereof facing the second member 42, and the second member 42 has second grooves 421 and 422 on a surface thereof facing the first member 41. The two side ends of the recording paper 7 slide along the first and second grooves 411, 412, 421, and 422.
