Abstract:
A printer is configured so that it is possible to perform work from both the upper side and the lower side of a cover member (202), which is rotatably connected to a housing (201) and houses a ribbon unit for holding an ink ribbon (302) so as to be dispensed freely and wound freely, by providing an inside ribbon installation opening on the lower side of the cover member (202) and providing an outer ribbon installation opening (301) on the upper side. As a result, it is possible to perform work selectively utilizing the outer ribbon installation opening (301) or the inside ribbon installation opening, making it possible to improve the work efficiency of ink ribbon attachment and detachment.
