Abstract:
A printer (1) is provided with: a platen roller (10) by which a printing medium is conveyed; a print head (12) that executes printing on the printing medium conveyed by means of the platen roller (10); a connection unit (22) that is attachable to/detachable from the print head (12); and a control unit (102) that stops power supply to the print head (12) via the connection unit (22) when the platen roller (10) and the print head (12) are separated from each other.
