Provided is a printer that includes the following: a platen roller that conveys recording paper, that has been supplied from a first opening, toward a second opening from which the recording paper is discharged; a recording head that performs printing on the recording paper; and an attachment part to which a recording paper guide for guiding the recording paper or a holder for supporting a roll of the recording paper is detachably attached.
