Abstract:
An object of the invention is to facilitate the inputting of printing jobs by eliminating the requirement of specifying roll paper or cut-sheet paper. A printing apparatus comprises: an automatic paper feeding switching mechanism (30) for switching between the automatic feeding of roll paper (110) and an IC tag (100) that is cut-sheet paper; and a RAM that is a storage means for storing printing jobs having at least a sheet selection code that is sheet selection information indicating a selection between the roll paper (110) and the IC tag (100) and printing data including a product name, a product number, a color, a bar-code, and other data. A CPU that is a control means controls, based on the sheet selection code, the automatic paper feeding switching mechanism (30) to switch between the automatic feeding of the roll paper (110) and the IC tag (100).
