Abstract:
A printing apparatus (1) includes a transporting section that transports a work (W), a printing mechanism section (13) that has a nozzle plate that performs printing by discharging ink on the work (W), and a moving section that reciprocally and relatively moves the printing mechanism section in a direction intersecting the transporting direction of the work (W). In the printing apparatus (1), when the printing mechanism section (13) moves reciprocally, printing in a forward path (A) includes a first printing area (A1),a second printing areas (A2-1 and A2-2), and printing in a backward path (B) includes a first printing area (B1),and second printing areas (B2-1 and B2-2). In addition, the transportation amount of the work (W) is adjusted based on the second printing areas (A2-1, A2-2, B2-1, and B2-2).
