Abstract:
The present invention relates to a printing apparatus for security paper and, more specifically, to a multi-function device, a printer, a facsimile, and a copier, which are configured such that security paper and normal paper are printed differently from each other. The present invention comprises: a security paper sensor installed on a printing paper feed path; and a control unit which, in the process of transferring, on the paper feed path, a sheet of printing paper to be identified, compares a first sensing value sensed by the security paper sensor when the corresponding sheet of printing paper is not placed near the security paper sensor, with one or more second sensing values, sensed by the security paper sensor on the paper feed path, for the corresponding sheet of printing paper to be identified, and determines the corresponding sheet of printing paper as security paper when the result of the comparison is greater than or equal to a predetermined reference value and determines the same as normal paper when the result does not exceed the predetermined reference value.
