Abstract:
Provided is a printing device that can maintain usability even when the installed configuration is changed, and is also useful for miniaturization. A roll paper printer 1 has a cubic printer case 2, and an NFC communication unit 10 for enabling non-contact short-range communication is disposed on a third surface 23 of the printer case 2. The roll paper printer 1 can be installed in a first installed configuration 1A in which the third surface 23 (first surface) on which the NFC communication unit 10 is disposed becomes the front surface, and a second installed configuration 1B in which the third surface 23 becomes the top surface. The NFC communication unit 10 is disposed in a corner part that joins the third surface 23 and a first surface 21 (second surface). Moreover, a display part 9 and a recording paper discharge port 3 are also disposed in the corner part.
