Abstract:
In a printing unit 2, a printing pathway Pa includes an upward inclining region Ru in which a print medium M rises obliquely, and a downward inclining region Rd which is downstream of the upward inclining region Ru in a transporting direction Dm, and in which the print medium M falls obliquely. By this means, a height difference between ejection heads 27 can be suppressed, and the height of the printing unit 2 can also be suppressed. In a drying unit 4, by upwardly folding back the print medium M using air turn bars 42, 43, the print medium M is transported along a rising drying pathway Pb1, and ink adhered to the print medium M is dried by means of a pre-stage heater H4. Thus, since the rising drying pathway Pb1 is provided in such a way as to effectively utilize the height of the drying unit 4, the drying pathway can be maintained while suppressing the height of the drying unit 4.
