Abstract:
The present invention provides a printing device that enables wide use of space in the device. The printing device comprises a body and a cassette that is attached to or detached from the body. A positioning shaft 50 is provided on the back of the cassette. A ball 57 that is capable of outwardly moving forward/backward is provided on the positioning shaft 50. A cylindrical guide body 38 is provided at a position facing the positioning shaft 50 on the front of the body. The cylindrical guide body 38 positions the positioning shaft 50 by guiding the positioning shaft 50 in the axis direction to a specific position on the body side. When the positioning shaft 50 is positioned at the specific position, the ball 57 engages with an engagement hole 383 provided in the cylindrical guide body 38. The positioning shaft 50 is locked in the cylindrical guide body 38. A release button 56 is pressed by a user so that the locking by the ball 57 is released.
