Abstract:

An operability at paper-feed and paper-discharge settings by a printer driver is enhanced. A dialog box (DB1) of 'Property' is displayed on a display screen. The dialog box (DB1) displays a schematic image (P1) of an external view of a printer, a paper feed notice column (P2) indicating information on paper feeding to the printer, and a paper discharge notice column (P3) indication information on paper discharging from the printer, all keyed to each other by leader lines (L11 to L16, L21 to L31), thereby eliminating the need of switching cards when both paper feed and paper discharge are to be set. A radio button (a5) corresponding to a tray 1 and a cassette 5 is provided in the paper feed notice column (P2) and clicking on the button can select a using feed paper storing unit of one's choice. A check box (a8) corresponding to a bin (10) and tray (1) is provided in the paper discharge notice column (P3) and clicking on the check box can select an outputting discharge paper storing unit of one's choice.
