Abstract:
In the prior art, an actual printed image is registered as a printing pattern for use as a reference during printing inspection. The problem therefore arises that a large amount of time is spent in the registration operation. In order to solve this problem, the present invention provides a printing inspection device, wherein the printing inspection device is configured so as to have a printing inspection processing unit for simulating a printing image and generating a reference pattern, an image input unit for taking in an image obtained by capturing an image of a recognition object, a difference extraction processing unit for cutting out a printing image of a character as a determination object from the image taken in by the image input unit, a numerical value calculation unit for computing the degree of matching between the printing image of the determination object character obtained by the difference extraction processing unit and the reference pattern obtained by the printing inspection processing unit, and a character quality determination unit for comparing the numerical value obtained by the numerical value calculation unit and a threshold value for determining whether to accept the printing quality of the determination object character set in advance and determining whether to accept the printing quality.
