Abstract:
A method for printing on a curved surface comprising a step for coating the protrusion of a flat letterpress printing original plate (3) having height h of 0.1-50 μm, preferably 0.1-25 μm, with print ink having viscosity of 5-500 PaS, preferably 5-250 PaS, a step for transferring print ink to the outer circumferential surface of a rubber or rubber-like elastic roll blanket (2) having thickness T at the elastic part expressed by 2H≤T≤8H with respect to the level difference H of a curved surface body (10) for printing and a hardness (JIS A scale) of 3-40, preferably 3-20, by pressing the blanket (2) against the letterpress printing original plate (3) coated with print ink while pressing constantly and rotating smoothly, and a step for moving the elastic roll blanket (2) transferred with print ink and bringing it into rotary-press contact with the surface of the body (10) for printing thus performing printing.
