Abstract:
A printing result inspection device, method and program are provided which, by reading a printed page once, can determine printing defects resulting from the printing process and printing paper defects resulting from the printing paper. A defect determination unit 24 determines whether defect regions D10, D12 and D14, extracted from a non-image region A10 on the basis of the color and change in concentration, are printing defects or printing paper defects, and image feature values of defect regions determined to be printing paper defects in the non-image region A10 are stored in paper defect information 110 and are accumulated in a paper defect information storage unit 30. Subsequently, the defect determination unit 24 determines whether defect regions D20 and D22, extracted from image regions A20 and A22 on the basis of the paper defect information 110, are printing defects or printing paper defects.
