Abstract:

A printing simulation method and device, a method and a device for controlling a pattern color tone of a printer and a printer are provided to easily confirm the color tone prior to carrying out printing, so that a request of a printing color tone can be properly fulfilled while loss of paper can be suppressed. A printing characteristic of data of printer and printing patterns printed by the printer are obtained and color development of the printer is simulated by applying the data of the printing patterns to the printing characteristic of the printer, so that an image of a printing pattern is displayed on a monitor screen. While a printing pattern sample is referred to and in order for a color tone of the pattern displayed on the monitor screen to be close to one of the pattern samples, a color developing state of the pattern displayed on the monitor screen is corrected for density of ink colors at the printing. In accordance with such correction target density is set up and in order for a printing result of actual density of color development to be close to the target density value, printing is carried out while an ink supplying state for each color by an ink supplying device is controlled.
