Abstract:

[Problem] To appropriately perform printing with color unevenness appropriately suppressed. [Solution] A printing system is provided with a head unit (12), a main scanning drive unit (14), and a control unit (20); the head unit (12) has a first color nozzle and a second color nozzle, and performs a main scanning operation in a forward direction and a main scanning operation in a rearward direction; and during both main scanning operations, the control unit (20) selects some pixels from pixels included in an area of a medium (50) to be scanned by the main scanning operations as first color discharge pixels on which ink droplets of a first color are to be discharged, and selects at least some pixels other than the first color discharge pixels from the pixels included in the area of the medium to be scanned by the main scanning operations as second color discharge pixels on which ink droplets of a second color are to be discharged.
