Abstract:
This printing unit comprises a carriage which reciprocates in a main scanning direction, and a plurality of ink heads for ejecting ink. The plurality of ink heads each extend in the main scanning direction, and are mounted in the carriage so as to form a plurality of ink head rows disposed side by side in a sub-scanning direction intersecting the main scanning direction. The plurality of ink heads include a plurality of same-color ink head groups each configured from a plurality of same-color ink heads that eject ink of the same color. In at least one same-color ink head group among the plurality of same-color ink head groups, the plurality of same-color ink heads are disposed in one ink head row among the plurality of ink head rows and are not disposed in another ink head row.
