Abstract:
The present invention relates to a prism structured laser. The prism structured laser according to the present invention generates a laser oscillation using a laser medium having a prism structure, and the laser medium having a prism structure comprises: an incident/emitting surface, via which a light generated during the excitation of the laser medium emits from inside the laser medium or a light reflected by a resonator mirror enters inside the laser medium; and a reflection surface, which circulates a light, either having been generated during the excitation of the laser medium or having been reflected by the resonator mirror and then entered through the incident/emitting surface, through total reflection in a critical angle within the laser medium and then emits the light through the incident/emitting surface. As such, the present invention is advantageous in that a high output laser having a simple structure can be realized, a thermal distortion phenomenon is prevented and the spatial and resource efficiency is improved.
