Description:

PRO BRUSH COVER Background of the Invention This invention is for a new longer lasting paint brush cover that will protect the bristles of a paint brush and therefore help to keep their form. Paint brushes are now sold with covers made of cardboard with an existing problem of non-protection from moisture causing the cardboard cover to fall apart. Brushes are constantly placed in their covers while still damp from water or a chemical after cleaning.

Typically, professional painters and homeowners alike use newspaper, sandpaper or other materials to cover their brushes. When paint brushes are not adequately protected the bristles lose their form and therefore there is a disadvantage that the brush is not able to perform properly for the painter. Thus a problem exists in the temporary covers that brushes are packaged in and there is a need for a proper cover for storage purposes.

Brief Summary of the Invention The present invention solves the problems associated with the temporary covers that are provided with brushes. This invention is made of a flat flexible material and can be cut by the painter to fit brushes of various sizes.

Brief Description of the Drawings Description: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the inside 11 cover that is made of a flexible material, plastic of some type. The object brush 10 fits in the cover.

Fig. 2 is the inside view showing 16 of the folding operation, sides 13,14 are folded inward at seams 16 first to wrap the brush, then the tongue 12 is folded last and secured by 15 tie string around said brush handle, then back around 15 ring to secure brush 10 in cover.

Fig. 3 is a view to demonstrate where the cover can be cut 19 to fit different sizes of brushes, usually between 2 inches through 4 inches in size.

Fig. 4 is the tongue 12 and the tie string on a ring 15 used to secure brush inside cover.

Fig. 5 is the outside view of said cover with holes 17 in material to aid in ventilation for the bristles in said brush 10 to dry, avoid mildew and odors.

Drawings: Fig. 1 is showing inside view with a brush in place.

Fig. 2 is a view to fold the cover and wrap the brush.

Fig. 3 shows places where the cover can be trimmed to fit different size brushes.

Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the tongue with string to secure after wrapping.

Fig. 5 shows the holes in the material for ventilation.

Fig. 6 is a view of the cover with brush secured.

Reference Numerals 11 inside view of cover 12 tongue 13 side 14 side 15 tie string and ring 16 shows where cover folds 17 holes 18 cover (outside view) 19 where cover can be cut Operation In the operation one uses the pro brush cover to protect the bristles of brush 10 from losing their form by wrapping in said material. Fig. 2 shows where to fold and Fig. 6 demonstrates brush inside cover.

(1) The holes 17 allow the brush 10 to ventilate avoiding odors and facilitate drying time.

(2) The cover can be cut Fig. 3 to accommodate brushes in sizes 2 inches through 4 inches.

(3) When brush is placed in cover Fig. 1 wrap the brush Fig. 2 brush inside for proper storage Fig. 6.

Detailed Description of the Drawings Referring now to the drawings where the illustrations Fig. 1 through Fig. 6 are for the purpose of describing the preferred embodiment of the present invention and are not intended to limit the invention that is described herein in order to install object brush 10.

Fig. 1 is a view of object brush 10 placed inside view 11 of said invention.

Referring now to Fig. 2 which is also an inside view of said brush cover, the folding areas are outline 16 this is where side (s) 13,14 are folded inward for the purpose of covering the bristles of object brush 10, the tongue 12 is then folded in an upward motion and placed over sides 13 and 14, therefore completely covering the bristles of object brush 10, a string 15 is used to secure object brush 10 by means of using a circular motion, and wrapping said string 15 which has a ring 15 attached to tongue 12, continuing a circular motion around object brush 10 with the string 15 that is a factory component accessory which may be made of various types of material by option of ordering said 15 for placement upon tongue 12, the string 15 is extended downward toward ring 15 and in a circular motion wrapped around said ring 15 thus securing object brush 10 in the invention.

As best seen in Fig. 3 is showing a view of the invention for the purpose of demonstrating where the cover may be curtailed in these areas 19 for the purpose of changing the size of the cover so as to fit brushes smaller than four inches, the areas where the cover is curtailed 19 will change due to the different types and dimensions of object paint brush 10.

Turning now to Fig. 3 is referring to the tongue 12, showing a view of its shape with the tie string and ring 15 in its proper place, the material of this preferred invention Fig. 1 through Fig. 6 is fabricated using a thin suitable material that is flexible for purpose of bending 16 as would be known to those skilled in the art that have the knowledge to use any other means of plastic molding or cutting process applicable to make the said brush cover Fig. 1 through Fig. 6.

In view of Fig. 5 is for the sole purpose of demonstrating the holes 17 which may be punched, stamped, or cut in the way of means known by those skilled in the art, also placement of the holes 17 may change in position due the needed skilled individual in the art of this field, as to aid in the ventilation of the bristles of said object brush 10.

Upon referring to Fig. 6 which is a view of object brush 10 showing the string and ring 15 in use, securing the object brush 10 and proper storage with the outside view of cover 18 the holes 17 may or may not show or be in this manner, from this outside view depending upon again said skilled person in this field of this art.

It will be seen that the present invention attains all of the objects and advantages summarized above providing a paint pro brush cover having a construction adaptable for various sizes of commonly available paint brushes, the conduct of the operation securely contains a paint brush from the painting field for purpose of a proper storage unit without unwanted bending of the bristles occurring and is devised of a flexible plastic type material that includes one component part which are readily manufactured and easily assembled for use in the field ; subsequent to use distribution for enhanced and economical distribution and sale; provides a rugged construction that is capable of exemplary performance over a long service life.

It is to be understood that the above detailed description of preferred invention is provided by way of example only. Certain modifications and improvements of design of construction of preferred embodiment may be modified without departing from the true scope and spirit of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
