Abstract:
The invention relates to a procedure and an arrangement for delivery of e-mail from a mail service provider (ISP) to a modem-connected user (1). According to the invention, the service provider transmits a message via the telephone network (PSTN) to the user which establishes an Internet connection to the service provider, whereupon the service provider delivers the e-mail via the Internet to the user. The service provider preferably checks signalling conditions before the message is transmitted to the user. The message preferably is transmitted by DTMF-signalling (4, 5).
