Abstract:
The present invention discloses a process of aluminum smelting and the apparatus therefor. The process includes feeding the aluminum oxide into a sealed vacuum container which is then irradiated by ultraviolet radiation and provided with heat energy to produce an elevated temperature effect; keeping the reacting temperature within the container at about 600-800°C while pumping the container to control the reduced pressure to an extent of 1.0 X 10-1-10-4Pa; pumping out the molten aluminum having been reduced from A13+ , then casting it into ingots. Compared with the conventional aluminum electrolyze processes, the present invention is better in the following respects: it can reduce the consumption of electricity, materials and save time. Still, it can be practiced without the limitation on scale and can solve the problem of pollution.
