Title:
PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE CONTENT OF OXIDABLE SUBSTANCES IN AQUEOUS LIQUIDS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1995/018372
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to detect oxidable substances, for example carbon, contained in aqueous liquids, liquid samples are burned in an incinerator (5). The resulting gaseous oxide in the thus obtained waste gas is detected by infra-red measurement (13-15). The waste gas flowing out of the incinerator (5) is returned to the incinerator (5) through a recirculation pipe (18), a small amount of transport gas (19) in comparison with the amount of waste gas being added to the gas flow. The recirculated waste gas conveys the liquid samples to the incinerator (5) and supplies the required spraying energy.
