Abstract:
A process for producing a stretchable sheet, which comprises: preparing a pair of gear rolls that rotate in given rotating directions while engaging the multiple teeth disposed on the periphery of one roll with the multiple teeth disposed on the periphery of the other; and passing a sheet through the nip between the pair of gear rolls to thereby stretch the sheet in the respective rotating directions of the gear rolls by means of the teeth. In the tip of each tooth, the corner located downstream in the rotating direction has been beveled more than the upstream corner.
