Abstract:
The invention relates to oil and gas extraction and can be used for the removal of liquid from oil, gas and gas-condensate wells. The proposed method involves periodically lowering a lowerable assembly into the pump column and subsequently raising it together with the column of liquid above it. A ring-shaped gap of constan t width is maintained between the sides of the assembly and the walls of the pump column; the raising operation is carried out at a rate at which a portion of the well gas passes upwards through the annular gap and thus prevents the liquid from running down. The proposed device for raising liquid from wells comprises a hoist with a cable, a pump column and a lowerable assembly with a non-return valve; the assembly is enclosed within the column, fitted with a centring system and secured to the hoist cable. There are several possible variations on the design of the lowerable assembly and non-return valve. The proposed method and device reduce the amount of energy expended in order to raise liquid from a well by exploiting the pressure of the formation or pumped gas, without any particular complication to the design of the lowerable assembly.
