Abstract:
A process for granulating enzyme which comprises mixing an enzyme with a binder of a specific polyethylene glycol or polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block polymer, and stirring the mixture at a temperature higher than the melting point of the binder to granulate it. The resulting granulated enzyme does not cause the problem of forming dust, possesses a large strength, can be dissolved in water in a short time, does not absorb moisture and can be stored for a long time without lowering of the activity. This process is suitable for preparing enzyme-containing granules for medicines or detergents.
