AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 25 Jan 2016(25.01.2016) We claim: 1. A process for the isolation of romidepsin from fermentation broth which comprises, a) extracting the fermentation broth with an organic solvent and evaporating the solvent to obtain a residue; b) treating the residue obtained in step a) with an organic solvent selected from a ketone or a nitrile solvent; c) evaporating the solvent to obtain a residue; [Original claim 3. specification page no. 8, lines 9-101 d) subjecting the residue obtained in step c) to silica gel column chromatography; wherein silica gel of 60-120 mesh or 230-400 mesh; wherein mobile phase is selected from acetone-heptane, ethyl acetate- cyclohexane and dichloromethane-hexan; [Original claim 2 and 4, specification page no. 5. lines 2-71 e) treating the product of step d) with an organic solvent; and 0 crystallizing the product obtained in step e). 2.
