Title:
PROCESS FOR LIBERATING AND SEPARATING SLACK MIDDLING OBTAINED FROM COKING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/161922
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of coal liberation and separation. Disclosed is a process for liberating and separating difficult-to-separate high-ash slack middling obtained from a coking process. The technique comprises: crushing a slack middling feed (1) in a crushing apparatus (A); separating the crushed material using a spiral separator (B) which discards part of the material with higher density and feeds a lower density material into a particle mill (C); classifying the ground material with a three-product cyclone classifying screen (D), moving an overflow and an undersized material of the classifying screen (D) to a flotation separation system, and returning an underflow to the spiral separator (B) for another round of separation and liberation. The invention provides higher separation density. Spiral separation and discarding of a tailing prevents a high ash particle from entering the mill, thereby reducing the workload of the mill and preventing contamination of a clean coal caused by pulverization of the high ash particle.
