Abstract:
Disclosed is an olefin thermoplastic elastomer composition having both weather resistance and low-temperature flexibility, while exhibiting excellent fluidity. The olefin thermoplastic elastomer composition does not become sticky even when it is used under high temperature conditions. Also disclosed is a process oil composition for elastomers which is a raw material for the olefin thermoplastic elastomer composition and enables the elastomer composition to have the above-mentioned characteristics. Further disclosed is an oil extended elastomer containing such a process oil composition. Specifically disclosed is a process oil for elastomers which has such a characteristic that the melting point of a propylene homopolymer in case when 20 parts by weight of the process oil composition is blended into 100 parts by weight of the propylene homopolymer is lower by 2-4.5˚C than the melting point of the propylene homopolymer in case when no process oil composition is blended thereinto. The process oil composition for elastomers is also characterized by being a mixture of a refined mineral oil and a synthetic oil which is obtained by polymerizing an olefin monomer. It is preferable that the refined mineral oil and the synthetic oil are mixed at a ratio of 40/60-80/20.
