Description:

DESCRIPTION

PROCESS OF PATTERNED FLOCK APPLICATION ON FABRIC WOVEN BY

SYNTHETIC YARN

TECHNICAL FIELD OF INVENTION

Present invention relates fabric coated by patterned flock and woven by synthetic yarn which can be used as upholstery fabric in furniture sector or as wall coating fabric or in packaging or in accessory sector. The product developed according to the invention is characterized in that different type of fibers (nylon, polyester, cotton, acrylic) with desired ratios are cut or prepared as infinite filaments and the yarn is produced and then weaved in desired manner and flocked in a patterned manner when fabric is a raw material and finally fabric is painted in beam dying or rope-dying machines.

BACKGROUND ART

As known, several processes of color or patterned flock application on painted fabric woven by different type of fibers are present in previous techniques. In production process of these techniques according to the invention, fabric and flocks are primarily painted and they are combined in flocking unit and thus end-product is obtained.

In process of patterned flock application on fabric fabric woven by synthetic yarn developed according to the invention, surface of colorless fabric produced from mix type of fibers or single type of fiber is coated by patterned-colorless flock and thus resultant product can be painted in only single painting cycle in rope-dying machines.

In process, which is again among previous techniques and described as F.O.F. (flock - on - flock), a surface, where flock is applied, can be re-applied patterned flock and such product is painted. Appearance, technical features and physical properties of product manufactured by the mentioned process is completely different than that of product gained by the process developed according to the invention. In the product gained by the process developed according to the invention, effect of fabric can be seen between patterned flocks, but flock appearance of surfaces repeating between patterned flocks disappears in previous technique.

AIMS OF INVENTION

Upholstery fabrics produced by different knitting and weaving techniques are used in furniture sector. These fabrics are such as fabrics produced by jacquard weaving technique, fabrics produced by cotton or synthetic yarns and similar fabrics. As a result, these fabrics are obtained by using various textile techniques such as weaving, knitting or similar methods. Process of patterned flock application on fabric woven by synthetic yarn, which is developed according to the invention, includes process of weaving fabric by yam obtained by using different type of fibers such as combination of infinite or cut nylon or polyester fibers and process of coating the said fabric by nylon flock and process of simultaneous paint procedure of fabric and cloth by acid painting technique (water or air- jet) and thus obtaining end-product. As known, nylon and polyester are two different type of materials. Consequently, in process of patterned flock application on fabric woven by synthetic yarn, which is developed according to the invention, a new product is aimed to be created by using the said difference. As polyester and nylon has different painting features and flocks are made of nylon fibers, and as patterned and flocked product will have painting features of nylon when subjected to paint procedure, nylon fibers within the product will be painted and remaining polyester fibers will be left unpainted. Thus, a new product is aimed to be developed by using technical features of two different fibers. Moreover, painting fibers on ground fabric and flocks made of same fibers simultaneously is a process first used in this sector.

In flock sector, providing color integrity is of importance. By the technique (process) developed according to the invention, color integrity is completely achieved and this feature differentiates products manufactured by this process developed according to the invention from other flocked products. Another object of invention is that so much different appearance shall be provided to upholstery stuff, dual - color will be obtained, patterned view will be realized, different effects will be provided and also ease of process and modern view.

With regards the product developed according to the invention, end - product is obtained by painting pattern - flocked fabric made of same or different type of flock fiber in water - or air-jet painting machines. Flocking and painting techniques are used in this process developed according to the invention.

Process of patterned flock application on fabric woven by synthetic yarn, which is developed according to the invention, is consisted of following steps;

■ Producing intermittent or infinite yarn made from different or same type of flock fibers in desired proportions and producing raw fabric (1) by the said yarn in desired gramage, knitting type and technical feature.

■ Transfering natural or color adhesive (binder) on raw fabric (1) in a patterned manner using rotational template (3) method including a desired pattern,

■ Patterned flocking (4) procedure of fabric (1), of which surface is transferred a patterned adhesive,

Painting products using painting machines (air - or water -jet) (7),

■ Passing painted and pattern - flocked product (8) from drumming units (11) or rams for finishing process.

In process of patterned flock application on fabric woven by synthetic yarn, which is developed according to the invention, it is possible to use different fibers both in fabric (1) and flock fiber. Whatever type of fiber, such as nylon, polyester, acrylic, cotton, viscon etc, is used in fabric (1), it possible to use same type of fiber in flock coating and yarn used in production of fabric (1) can be 100 percent single -type fiber or they can be multiple - type of fibers consisted of different percent of various fibers. These fibers can be intermittent or infinite fibers.

After different type of fibers in desired proportion or single — type fiber is woven, resultant fabric (1) is passed through sewing machine J-box (2) seen in Figure 1 and it is transferred to rotational patterned template (3). Rotational patterned template (3) transfer adhesive with desired pattern and color on fabric (1). In this step, adhesive within patterned template (3) is transferred wet by scrapper from template to the surface of fabric.

Fabric, which is transferred patterned adhesive by patterned rotational template (3), is directed to flocking unit (4). hi this unit, flock fibers enter into electrostatic field as flock fibers, which are cut into particular length (0.3 - 5.0 mm) and denier (0.9 - 9.0 dtex) and loaded on containers, are poured downward by sieves and brushes. During this period, they are sticked into patterned adhesives on the surface of fabric (1) coming continously from rotation machine (3) by electric power and thus flocking process is completed. Meanwhile, flock, sticked to fields including patterned adhesives by electrostatic method, is dried within drying owen (5). Finally, they pass through brushing unit and the fabric (6) coated by pattern flock is obtained as end-product.

The product (6) coated by patterned - flock is transferred to next stage, namely painting unit (7). In this step, product is painted beam-dying machine or rope-dying machines. Lastly, drumming (11) procedure is applied. Thus, pattern-flocked, painted and drummed fabric (12) is obtained, which is woven by synthetic yarn.
