Abstract:
A process by which a three-wavelength or photostimulable aluminate-base phosphor that is easy of pulverization and excellent in luminescence characteristics because of its lowered content of fine particles can be prepared in a high yield, wherein $g(a)-alumina powder having a primary particle diameter of 0.3 to 30 $g(m)m and being substantially free from any fracture surface is used as the starting alumina in the synthesis.
