Abstract:
A process for the preparation of (fluoroalkylthio)acetic acid esters represented by general formula (3) (wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group; R1 is a C1-4 alkyl group; and R2 is a C1-5 fluoroalkyl group), characterized by reacting a thioglycolic acid ester represented by general formula (1) (wherein R and R1 are each as defined above) with a fluoroolefin represented by general formula (2) (wherein R2 is as defined above) in the presence of a radical generator.
