Abstract:
Optically active compounds represented by general formula (II) or salts thereof are prepared easily and in an extremely high enantiomeric excess and a high yield by oxidizing compounds represented by general formula (I) or salts thereof in the presence of both a substance acting as a molecular sieve and an asymmetric induction catalyst: wherein A is an optionally substituted benzene ring; R?1¿ is H or the like; R?2¿, R?3¿ and R?4¿ are each H, optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkoxy, or the like; X is N or CH; Y is N or CH; and * represents an asymmetric center.
