Abstract:
A process for efficient synthesis of optically active thiazolidinone derivatives of the general formula (1) which comprises optically resolving a racemic carboxylic acid of the general formula (4) by using an (S)-(-)-N-benzyl-$g(a)-phenylalkylamine as the reagent for optical resolution to thereby obtain the corresponding (S)-carboxylic acid.
