Abstract:

A process for preparing a foamed particle of a polyolefin resin which comprises foaming a polyolefin resin particle by a factor of about 2 to 2.5 through the use of a fluorocarbon foaming agent having less possibility of destroying an ozonosphere but unsuitable for use as a conventional foaming agent, thereby preparing a primary foamed particle, and introducing air into the primary foamed particle to successively expand the particle to attain an intended expansion ratio.
