Title:
PROCESS FOR PREPARING INTERFERON DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1985/005618
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A novel polypeptide having an activity equal or superior to that of IFN-gamma and difficultly undergoing dimerization or polymerization, a transforment containing DNA which codes the novel polypeptide, and a process for preparing the novel polypeptide from a culture product of the transformant. DNA coding the novel polypeptide can be prepared from known IFN-gamma gene (cDNA)-containing plasmid, PHITtrp1101. This DNA is bound to a vector and introduced into a host to give a transformant. An antibody column is used for purifying the polypeptide from the culture product. The novel polypeptide can be used as antiviral and antineoplastic agents.
