Abstract:
A process for preparing a perfusion agent for use in dialysis in an artificial kidney showing less hygroscopic properties and having the form of a uniform particulate powder by compounding respective starting ingredients so that electrolyte ions of Na+, K+, Ca++, Mg++, Cl-, and CH3COO- are contained in definite ratios, which process comprises dissolving respective starting ingredients in warm water, leaving the solution for at least 6 hours, then spraying the resulting aqueous salt mixture solution into a drying room at an inlet temperature of 200 to 400 C through an orifice of the pressurized nozzle type having a diameter of 1.0 to 2.0 m/m to thereby achieve spray-drying.
