Abstract:
A process for preparing poly (diallyldimethylammonium chloride ) is discloesed,in which diallyldimethylammonium chloride solution produced by the commercial one-step process is used as the reactant. The content of impurities in the diallyldimethylammonium chloride solution is within a specific range.The initiator and the complexing agent are added in a single step at a specific temperature, then the temperature is increased stage by stage, so that the initiator is decomposed slowly and the polymerization is initiated step by step. The polymerization continues for a long time to obtain poly (diallyldimethylammonium chloride ) in the form of colloids or powders.
