Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for preparing poly(terephthaloyl-p-phenylene diamine), wherein the steps thereof comprise: adding 15 g-20 g of N-methylpyrrolidinone and 20 g-30 g of CaCl2 to a reaction kettle to prepare an N-methylpyrrolidinone-calcium chloride solution; adding 16 g-18 g of a p-phenylenediamine powder to the N-methylpyrrolidinone-calcium chloride solution, introducing dry nitrogen and performing continuous stirring until the powder is completely dissolved; cooling the solution, then adding 12 g-15 g of a terephthaloyl chloride powder, and carrying out the reaction for 15 min-17 min to obtain a terephthaloyl chloride-p-phenylenediamine-CaCl2 solution; preparing a paraphthaloyl chloride solution with a concentration of 25%-30%; adding the terephthaloyl chloride-p-phenylenediamine-CaCl2 solution and the terephthaloyl chloride solution in a ratio of 2:1 to a twin-screw reactive extruder to carry out the reaction for a reaction time of 5 min-6 min, and extruding the poly(terephthaloyl-p-phenylene diamine) powder; and washing the powder with cold water several times until neutral, and drying at 120ºC-130ºC for 4.5 h-5.5 h to obtain a light yellow poly(terephthaloyl-p-phenylene diamine) polymer. The method is accurate in terms of measurements, and can realize the continuous preparation of polymers with a relatively high relative molecular mass.
