Abstract:
Before at least one specific material selected from among 1,1,1,3,3-pentachloropropane, 1,1,3,3,-tetrachloropropene and 1,3,3,3-tetrachloropropene is fluorinated by reacting with HF, moisture is sufficiently eliminated from the material(s). When useful 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane and/or 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene are produced by fluorinating specific material(s) with HF in the presence of a catalyst, the inactivation of the catalyst and the accumulation of high-boiling matters are prevented to thereby continuously produce the above useful target product efficiently.
