Abstract:
A production process by which a 1,2-ethanediamine derivative for use as a raw material in producing useful chemical substances including medicines can be industrially advantageously produced at low cost. The process, which is for producing a 1,2-ethanediamine derivative represented by the general formula [I]: (wherein R2 means alkyl, etc.; R3 means aryl, etc.; and R6 means aryl, etc.) or a salt thereof, is characterized by reacting either a phosphinoylamine derivative represented by the general formula [IV]: (wherein R2, R3, and R6 have the same meanings as defined above; and R4 and R5 each means alkyl, aryl, etc.) or a salt thereof with a silane compound represented by the general formula [II]: (wherein R9 and R10 each means hydrogen, halogeno, alkyl, etc.; and X4 means halogeno) in the presence of a base.
