Title:
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING 1,2-TRANS-GLYCOSIDE COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/088256
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process for producing a glycoside compound having a trans configuration selective for the 2-position hydroxy group from (a) a furanose compound or pyranose compound and (b) an alcohol compound, characterized in that use is made of a furanose compound in which the 2-position hydroxy group may have a substituent protected by a group (A) or a pyranose compound which may have a substituent. (A) [R2 and R3 are the same or different and each represents C1-4 alkyl or substituted aryl or R2 and R3 are bonded to each other to form C2-4 alkylene (the alkylene may be substituted by C1-4 alkyl or may be separated by phenylene); and m and n each is 0 or 1.]
