Abstract:
Provided is a process by which 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene can be produced at a high transformation rate and stably for a long time. The process for producing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene involves causing 1,1-dichloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and/or 1-chloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene as (a) starting compound(s) to react with hydrogen in the presence of a precious-metal catalyst loaded on a metal oxide having a Hammett acidity function value (H0) of -5.6 or greater.
