Abstract:
A process for producing 3-(2-cyano-1-propenyl)-2,2- dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid or a salt thereof, which comprises reacting a 3-formyl-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane- carboxylic acid ester and propionitrile in the presence of a base.
